Published On: July 12th, 2022

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc., a not-for-profit organization providing a comprehensive continuum of addiction treatment throughout Massachusetts, announced the promotions of three rising leaders following the company’s leadership expansion earlier this year. Jonathan Miller was promoted to Chief Information Officer, Mark Orris is now the Executive Director of Inpatient Services, and Rachel Sasseville has become the new Director of Training.

“Since joining Spectrum in early 2020, Jonathan has been invaluable to our organization, helping us to better utilize the data we collect – a must in today’s healthcare ecosystem. He has also spearheaded integrations and advanced key functions of Spectrum’s electronic health record, better enabling the transition to telehealth administrations of care,” said Kurt Isaacson, President, and CEO of Spectrum Health Systems. “We are fortunate to have such seasoned professionals as Mark and Rachel leading our inpatient and training departments for continued longevity among our clients and employees. Both Mark and Rachel have been with the organization for years and have contributed their skills and expertise in multiple capacities to support our teams and help us achieve our mission.”

At Spectrum, Miller has been responsible for the management and execution of Spectrum’s information technology strategy, a purview which has expanded with his appointment as CIO. He has streamlined the organization’s IT operations, integrated Spectrum’s systems with those of other organizations, and led important data-driven initiatives during his time at Spectrum. Miller brought 22 years’ experience in the IT field with him upon joining Spectrum in 2020 as Vice President of Information Technology. Prior to Spectrum, Miller served as the Chief Information Officer and Compliance Officer at Y.O.U., Inc., a leading child welfare, behavioral health, and education agency in Worcester, Mass. Before Y.O.U., Inc., Miller was the Director of Information technology at Lighthouse Academies where he developed solutions to meet the data, technology, and communications needs of the company, including 11 school sites across five states.

Orris began his career at Spectrum over 20 years ago in the inpatient division and has worked in various capacities within the organization ever since. In his previous role as Regional Program Director, Orris was responsible for fiscal management, revenue, expense reporting, and planning for multiple programs. He developed marketing and public relations plans to better promote programs and maintain organizational goals. He has been instrumental in assisting in the development, implementation, and control of the organization’s budgeting. In his new role as Executive Director of inpatient services, Orris will draw upon his varied experience to support his team’s growth and development.

Sasseville started her career as a Senior Clinician at Spectrum, helping clients at the organization’s Lincoln Street location in Worcester with opiate use disorder and mental health diagnoses meet their goals and maintain their recovery. She facilitated group sessions, conducted intake assessments and evaluations, and supervised social workers and case managers. She was promoted to Clinical Program Director, moving to Spectrum’s outpatient treatment center in Millbury, Mass. where she was responsible for the oversight of clinical and case management services of approximately 350 patients. In her new role as Director of Training, Sasseville will provide her teams with training and resources for their continued growth in the field.

With years of proven success in clinical services, program development, and substance use treatment and prevention, Spectrum is fortunate to have these seasoned professionals as part of its team. Miller, Orris and Sasseville will lead their respective teams to continue providing the highest quality care for clients and those in need of addiction treatment services throughout the state.
