Spectrum Health Systems Celebrates One Year of its Community Partner Program Alongside Four Local Organizations

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc., a longtime not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing a comprehensive continuum of addiction treatment throughout Massachusetts, is one of five organizations celebrating one year since the launch of The Behavioral Health Partners of MetroWest (BHPMW). Started with the goal of breaking down the silos that exist in the current health care system, BHPMW provides an integrated system of treatment services centered on addiction, mental health and social health, expanding the capacity to address the overall behavioral health needs of clients served in the MetroWest and Central Massachusetts regions of the state.

 – Vows to Treat 500,000 More People by 2025

On June 21, 2019, Spectrum Health Systems celebrated its 50th anniversary at the historic Mechanics Hall in Worcester, Massachusetts. The event featured a video tribute recapping Spectrum’s 50-year history, delicious food catered by Peppers Artful Events and the inspirational story of Tony Hoffman, former BMX Elite Pro, Olympic coach, acclaimed speaker and founder of The Freewheel Project.

In this role, Brown will continue growing the organization’s suite of services focused on at-risk youth and peer recovery.

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc., a longtime not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing a comprehensive continuum of addiction treatment throughout Massachusetts, announces the appointment of James Celestin, MD, an expert in interventional pain management, to its Board of Trustees. Dr. Celestin holds certifications with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Medical Subspecialties, with a specialization in Pain Medicine.

Spectrum Debuts Renovated Kitchen Donated by NexDine at Westborough Detox Facility

Recently, our partners at NexDine, a Mansfield-based food service provider, kindly donated their time and resources to renovate the kitchen at our detoxification facility located on Spectrum’s treatment campus in Westborough, Massachusetts. Proper nutrition is an important factor in addiction treatment and the new kitchen, totaling $80,000, demonstrates NexDine’s generosity and support for Spectrum’s mission.

Newly Constructed Healing Garden Offers Therapeutic Benefits to Spectrum’s Residential Clients

After a year-long construction project, Spectrum is pleased to announce that its Healing Garden is now open to clients at the Faris Recovery Center in Westborough, Massachusetts. Research has shown that viewing natural landscapes helps foster healing and recovery by evoking positive feelings, reducing negative emotions and decreasing stressful thoughts.

Spectrum Education, Training and Consulting Debuts in Randolph, Mass.

It is the first municipality in the Commonwealth to invite Spectrum Education, Training and Consulting experts to provide custom training and interactive sessions to its employees.
