Begin Recovery with Inpatient Detox and Residential Treatment Programs

Published On: July 11th, 2022Categories: Spectrum Corrections, Treatment & Recovery

Promising compassionate, comprehensive care, our Inpatient Detoxification and Residential Treatment programs help clients build the foundation for a successful journey to recovery from alcohol or drug use disorders. With a rigorous focus on helping individuals achieve key goals for attaining a healthy, alcohol and drug free lifestyle, each provides a safe, structured environment in which to seek personalized care to begin or continue recovery.

Our programs are recovery-based. This means that they emphasize recovery as an ongoing process that can only begin when a person abstains from alcohol and other drugs and makes it their top priority to continue treatment after leaving the program.

Here is an overview of what to expect from each.

Inpatient Detoxification

Our Inpatient Detoxification program is typically a 4-7 day, medically managed program which operates on a 24/7 basis. We begin by carefully assessing a client’s individual needs. Not all substance use disorders are alike; nor are recoveries, or treatment plans. The service we provide is personalized to best fit each person.

Before receiving services, all clients undergo a nursing and clinical assessment, enabling us to determine their medical status and personal situation, as well as an appropriate treatment modality. We look at where you have been as a person with a serious substance use disorder, consider where you need to be, and work with you to find the best way to help you get there.

The program’s main goals are for a client to detoxify safely; prepare for the next step in the recovery process; develop effective skills to maintain a productive life free of alcohol and other drugs; and make plans for continued care.

Our team will assist a client in:

  • Understanding and identifying the negative effects of alcohol and drugs.
  • Learning about potential health issues that can result from alcohol and drug use.
  • Recognizing negative effects of antisocial thinking and behavior patterns.
  • Developing relapse prevention skills.
  • Learning and honing effective interpersonal skills.
  • Developing pro-social attitudes, behaviors, and values.
  • Developing an individual Continuing Care Plan for ongoing recovery.

Residential Treatment

Clients admitted into our residential treatment facilities can expect a length of stay ranging from three to nine months, depending on individual needs. Upon admission, a member of our team will spend time assessing a resident’s individual needs, focusing on their current and most pressing issues. Next, a Case Manager is assigned who will be the client’s “point person” during treatment.

The role of a Case Manager is to provide support and guidance, working as a co-planner and mapping out the best recovery plan. We strongly believe in the importance of continuing care planning so, this will be initiated upon admission and continue throughout the treatment process.

The Case Manager will work with family members of a client’s choosing to help aid in treatment. We strongly encourage family involvement during family supportive counseling sessions to discuss their loved one’s current progress in treatment and continuing care plans.

Clients are expected to be fully engaged in recovery while receiving services. Attendance at all program meetings and group sessions is required. Individual progress is assessed every 30 days by the program’s multi-disciplinary team.

The program includes a structured weekly schedule consisting of:

  • Recovery groups
  • Individual counseling and treatment planning
  • Productive work
  • Fitness and mindfulness activities
  • Planned recreational activities

In addition to the primary goal of reaching and maintaining recovery, our clinical model aims to teach clients pro-social cognitive and behavioral skills to assist them in maintaining a productive and healthy drug-free life. This includes education on:

  • The impact of substances, and ways to support personal health and wellness.
  • Developing cognitive restructuring techniques for rational, positive thinking.
  • Continuing recovery through problem solving, interpersonal skills, and the development of a supportive Continuing Care Plan.

The Road to Recovery Starts Here

Our Inpatient Detoxification and Residential Treatment programs will help rebuild the many areas of one’s life which alcohol and other drugs may have damaged. It is important to know that these areas can be rebuilt, no matter how damaged they may be, or how many times one may have tried to rebuild them before.
