Spectrum Health Systems participated in Rhode Island’s annual Rally for Recovery, held on Saturday, September 11, 2010, at Roger Williams National Memorial Park in Providence. The event is part of Rhode Island’s celebration of National Recovery Month and supports those who have achieved and those who are seeking long-term recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.

Attended by thousands of allies and supporters, including mental health, developmental disability, and addiction treatment providers, the Rhode Island National Guard and elected officials, the Rally raised awareness about drug and alcohol addiction, mental illness, developmental disabilities, and the journey of recovery.

Spectrum Health Systems was represented at the event by Vice President of Clinical and Women’s Services, Susan Moitozo, Rhode Island State Director Joann Esposito and Clinical Supervisor Laurie Alviti.

In Rhode Island, Spectrum provides a range of in-prison treatment programs at all levels of security for the Department of Corrections, including residential treatment, day treatment and reintegration programming.
